Craft Deerskin Leather

Often called Buckskin, this is topgrain 3-3.5 oz. craft grade deerskin leather.  It has a smooth side (skin side) and a rough side (suede side). 

We sell deerskin leather by the full hide.  The full hides vary in size from about 3 square feet to 14 square feet.  Each hide is marked with its size.  We can usually select either small, medium, or large hides according to your wishes.  We will not, however, cut hides to measure or select just the best hides.  No returns on cut hides.

We use these skins to make our bags and laces and consequently stock a good quality craft grade skin.  The skins are not flawless, but are not junk either.  Expect some holes and/or flaws.  If you can work around these, this skin is for you.  If not, stick to a true garment grade. 

Genus and species: Odocoileus virginianus. Wild.

White Tail Deer are not endangered and are not subject to CITES controls.
